I was the selected campaign for the 2023 Re:act program in South Australia which focused on safer speeds.

The ‘stop zooming, start cruising’ safer speeds campaign is designed to educate and raise awareness among 17-25 year olds about driving at safer speeds, and that speed limits are set as a maximum for the protection of all road users, not as a target speed.

The aim of the message behind the campaign was to alert drivers to their speed and change their behaviour. So if they are ‘zooming’ as they pass the campaign on a roadside billboard, they should be ‘cruising’. In other words, slowing down and choosing a safer speed.
